CROSS COUNTRY NEWS

A/W TITAN INVITE The Rebels Cross Country teams ran in the Annawan/Wethersfield Titan Invite Monday afternoon (August 27). With the heat index being in the upper 90's, the Girls and Boys races were shortened to 2 miles instead of the originally scheduled 3 miles. In the Boys race, the Rebels were missing 2 of their top 3 runners and finished last in the 10 team field. Alex Welch (26th - 12:12) was the first Rebel Boy to cross the finish line. Alex was followed by Payton Stahl (61st - 13:54), Colby Carroll (64th - 14:00), Caden Daum (95th - 15:06), Jack Winans (100th - 15:38), Chris Roark (112th - 16:58) and Brett Browning (116th - 18:48). The Rebels Girls for the 2nd straight week finished 2nd in the team standings. The Girls was once again led by Olivia Frail (2nd - 13:01). Josie Price (10th - 13:58) was the next Rebel to cross the finish line followed by Ashley Orrick (12th - 14:10), Trinity Shimmin (21st - 15:28), Lena Becker (23rd - 15:37), Alyssa Dyken (30th - 16:00) and Sarah Fairfield (41st - 16:56). There were 13 teams total at the Invite. There were 84 finishers in the Girls race and 119 in the Boys race. 2nd Place Girls Team - A/W Titan Invite
